The islanders ownership or the league really have to step in and correct this problem with MSG Dolan and the islanders. What is the contract with msg and the islanders and how do they get out of it? Can they go to the yes network that seems like a partnership that might work.
All kidding aside it's embarrassing to the entire league.......

continued from last blog...

(with regard to bailey and a buyout

its not a money issue...they could trade bailey and wouldnt have to pay him anything. it seems more like upper management believes bailey still has something to prove and the offers are all lowballs.

as for the game, im surprised there wasnt more uproar about macquad chopping at JTs ankle at the end of the game.

and just to add my name to the group...donovan looked horrebdous

Any word on guys like Martin? McDonald? Boulton? or even Cizikas? I haven't been able to see any games but I haven't heard much of anything about these guys. ANy chance these guys aren't around opening night?

really hoping they find a way to put both reinhart and pulock on the roster to start the season. As much as I like him, Donovan had a horrible game and isn't showing he can play at the NHL level with our coaching staff. He played well last year with Dehaan, but Hickey should have been a decent enough partner for him and he looked slow, tentative and out of position almost all night.

If he needs to go on waivers then he'll likely be claimed, but with the number of prospects on defense we have I don't know that it's a bad thing.

Mayfield looked good as well. It may well be that we're playing 3 rookies on defense by the midway mark of the season and this time it may not be due to injuries.

Cizikas missed the third period, Martin was invisible to me and Mcdonald didn't dress. I believe mcdonald will be put on waivers and Martin may be kept around as a scratch but he's losing his spot on the team with ineffective play.

So now it's the coaches fault? First it was Carkner's now its the coaching. Maybe it's just Donovan??

The Bruins were blacked out last Friday night throughout New England when they were playing the Caps on NHL Network. NESN was broadcasting a meaningless Sox/Yankees game that Jeter wasn't even playing in.
I think the same thing happened to Buffalo earlier in the week.
NHL broadcasting stupidity appears to be universal.

Pulock or Reinhart makes team. Leaning on Reinhart because of his play in his own end but I think it could go either way

Since when did that matter to the Islanders? The d needs to activate and work hard If we lose 7-2, who cares as long as the boys worked hard and activated to get those 2 goals.
